I will be to lofoten on 25-30/4.

It really makes me sad that it is too dangerous to go to Reinebringen. Are there any hikes/places are safe and beautiful in late April?

Someone suggested me to go to Ryten, Mannen, and Offersøykammen.

Are there any more good suggestions which are safe and beautiful?

I think I will go with a pair of hiking shoes. Hiking with snow boots or special equipment are not my options.

I can hardly find information in late April as it lies across winter and summer.

I will be thankful if you can provide me some useful information or give me some suggestion.

Hei Harry,

Don’t go up on Reinebringen in April, this might be sad but it is also much safer ! The path that is suppose to lead safely to the top is not yet finished and they will still be ice and snow so I would not venture there if I was you.

Their are plenty other options if there is not too much snow at that time, here are some of them chosen in the “Easy” and “Easy/Medium” (http://rando-lofoten.net/index.php/en/the-hikes):

Tops:

Hoven (http://www.rando-lofoten.net/index.php/en/hov-en)

Holandsmelen (http://rando-lofoten.net/index.php/en/holandsmelen-en)

Offersoyakammen (http://rando-lofoten.net/index.php/en/offersoykammen-en)

Slettheia (http://rando-lofoten.net/index.php/en/hiking-to-slettheia)

Nonstinden (http://rando-lofoten.net/index.php/en/nonstinden-en)

Norlandsnupen (http://rando-lofoten.net/index.php/en/hiking-to-nordlandsnupen)

Guratinden (https://www.rando-lofoten.net/en/guratinden-en)

Costal walks:

Nesland-Nusfjord (http://rando-lofoten.net/index.php/en/nesland-nusefjord-en)

Nedreneset (http://rando-lofoten.net/index.php/fr/nedreneset)

Måstad (http://rando-lofoten.net/index.php/en/hiking-to-mastad)

Of course you should first check the weather forecast (http://rando-lofoten.net/index.php/en/forecasts/weather) and the snow coverage (looking at the webcams on the home page of this site) before to make a decision on witch walk to choose.

Have a safe trip,

david

Thanks David.

I still see lots of snow through the webcam. Does it means that a pair of snowboot is required? I will choose to hike in those rank easy. If it is really indicated, can I buy/rent snowboot in lofoten? Where can I find it? Thanks!

Hei Harry,

You can find snowshoes in Leknes (Intersport shop) or in Bodo (if you pass by this town) at Skandinavisk shop (probably bigger choice and cheaper prices).
