This peak, which is quite easy to climb for the Lofoten Islands, offers a fantastic view over the site of Nusfjord and its tiny fishing village. It also has an uninterrupted view of one of the finest coastlines in the islands…
The route starts to the right of the road from Kilan to Nusfjord and quickly climbs the slopes to the east of Lake Storvatnet. When you arrive at the little plateau of Sommar tuva turn to the right on one of the many little tracks leading to the relay antenna mast located at point 321. From point 321 the view opens over the magnificent Vestfjord and the Straits of Nappsstraumen to the east. Now follow the path running from summit to summit (point 324, point 306) as far as Nesheia where you go round the right-hand side (west), climbing up its southern point. From the sharp rocky peak of this summit with its moon-like landscape you can look down on the bright greenery of the tiny village of Nusfjord.
This track takes you past a number of lakes, the smallest of which are barely the size of a bathtub and where the water warms up quickly on sunny summer days. Go down via the same route.
